Regular Season & Playoff Predicitions 2012

My guesses how the coins will fall when all is said and done in end of april 2012.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:
1. Chicago Bulls -- The Bulls once again will overturn the Heat in good old conscientious and disciplined manner, just like last year. Once again, they will fail as soon as the crunchtime of the season starts.
2. Miami Heat -- The Heat will sit out this or that star at the end of the stressing season, and will be okay off with the 2nd spot, as long as they can fight in the finals again.
3. Orlando Magic -- This one in case the Magic will not trade Dwight in the mid-season. He will push them in one last attempt at least to the last heights this season.
4. Atlanta Hawks -- The Hawks still have all their stable horses, so they should get easily the nr. 4 or 5 seat.
5. Boston Celtics -- The Celtics go downhill from year to year, and we assume they don't get a deal done before the trading deadline. Well, at least hope for it, after last years terrible mistake with dealing Perkins away for nothing. So they lower their seat by 2, but still have a decent chance to evolve into the 2nd round, based mainly on their experience.
6. Milwaukee Bucks -- It's kind of a wishful thinking here, okay. But if Bogut stays healthy everything should be possible. i simply love the versatility & team effort of this ballclub.
7. New York Knicks -- The pairing would just be too perfect: The big 3 vs the big 2. The Knicks will - once again - not play in the field of the big bangers. They don't have a team, just to very good players. That's still not enough.
8. Indiana Pacers -- I simply don't believe in the Pacers, a good team with no star player who could have the decisive impact. They are also too young to get higher right now.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:
1. Oklahoma City Thunder -- It's time to take over. The Thunder are ready now to be the best team in the West. They are also plodding enough to get the best record in the regular season.
2. San Antonio Spurs -- The Spurs are still a get it done team. In one of their last years they will fight for this high seat again, and succeed.
3. Portland Trailblazers -- I believe here. The Blazers have the full potential to be one of the 3 high impact teams under the young rosters in the west, next to the Thunder and the Nuggets. Maybe this year, they already can deal with the heat, and push forward. The roster definately has the potential.
4. Denver Nuggets -- There we have the third young gunner team. Maybe we are to fast with our prognosis, and they need one or two more seasons to get to the level to outburn the old-established teams, but I also simply love the multi-versatility of the Nuggets and would love to see impact already one season after messias Camelo is gone.
5. L.A. Lakers -- The Lakers made a significantly step backwards during last seasons playoffs and now the failed offseason moves. With this team, they have to form back step by step, as long as they don't get a deal done, that shapes a new roster. They will though probably beat a young team standing higher during the 1st playoff round based on their experience and competitiveness alone.
6. Dallas Mavericks --  The Champions made some moves that made their team significantly worst this offseason by f.e. not resigning Tyson Chandler. This is clearly an year of transition to get active in free agency during 2012, and prepare for the final attempt to get a title run for 3 more years. This year they struggle during regular season, but may beat a young team in the 1st round just like the Lakers could do.
7. L.A. Clippers -- The Clippers have two years to convince Griffin and Paul that they can get a title to this bizarre franchise. This is a transition year while they prepare for the first serious title shot in 2013.
8. Memphis Grizzlies -- The Grizz get the same seat like last season, that doesn't seem right, they should do better. But my scenario has those 7 teams better than them, and that's about it. A Thunder-Grizzlies 1st round matchup would have its fans.
